To honor Women’s History Month, every Monday in March we will be celebrating influential women in the spheres of art, activism, and writing. For decades (more like centuries) women’s experiences had only been seen through the lenses of those who society deemed acceptable to publicly discuss them, men. For our first Women’s History Month post, this week we share a few notable works from women that have used the beauty and power of poetry to convey uniquely female perspectives and experiences.
