The Moth Radio Hour, founded in 1997, has a belief that listening to the stories of others can build community and widen our perspective, helping us realize what we have in common. Their podcast and live events provide platforms for these stories.

Their recently released book, Occasional Magic: True Stories About Defying the Impossible, offers a well-curated selection of stories told by familiar faces and new voices. Hear stories from New Yorker staff writer Adam Gopnik, Krista Tippett, memoirist Andrew Solomon, writer and musician Rosanne Cash, and new voices—all telling their unique narratives about finding strength to face the seemingly impossible.

While you are exploring Occasional Magic, you can also check out The Moth’s other books, All These Wonders: True Stories About Facing the Unknown, and The Moth.

P.S.: Natalie will be co-hosting The Moth Ball this June 4th in New York. Tickets are sold out, but if you are interested in making a donation to The Moth in support of the event you can do so here. The Moth is also hosting a Silent Auction that ends tomorrow at noon EST. You can find the change to partake in story-worth experiences that support The Moth’s mission of celebrating the art and craft of storytelling.
