“For me, summer hasn’t really started until tomatoes reappear in local farmers’ markets.” ― José Andrés
Today, June 17th, is National Eat Your Vegetables Day. Locally sourced organic vegetables have always been the cornerstone of the meals served at The Factory Café, and like many of our readers, farmer’s market produce is a staple on our home tables. So in honor of this little known (but delicious) holiday, this week we share some of our favorite veggie-based recipes and garden inspired posts from the Journal.
Green Tomato Pie with Buttermilk Crust
Russet Potato + Dilly Bean Salad
Pableaux Johnson’s Red Beans + Rice
Blackberry Farm’s Zucchini Caesar Salad
Grilled Vegetable + White Cheddar Quiche
