On this Independence Day I’m reminded that not every human is afforded the rights, freedoms, and equality that many of us in the United States take for a given every single day. I’m reminded over and over again that hard won Independence is not inherent for all. On this holiday weekend, may we all strive for an inclusive and kind future for ourselves, our families, and all of humanity.
