The upcoming event, part of our series of Friends of the Café dinners, features Raleigh, North Carolina’s Cheetie Kumar. Scheduled for August 22nd, the meal will benefit the Southern Foodways Alliance (SFA) and will be hosted by Natalie and John T. Edge, director of the SFA.
Eric Soloman will be joining us again, curating and donating the wines from his importer, European Cellars. We will also be auctioning a selection of wine hand chosen and donated by Eric Solomon with all proceeds going to the Southern Foodways Alliance.
Blackberry Farm Brewery will also be donating beer for the evening’s event.
Diners will be joined by two special guests, singer-songwriter (and local record label owner) John Paul White, and author Dana Thomas. John will be playing and singing during the dinner and will have his newest record, The Hurting Kind, available for signing after the meal. Dana will also be there signing her new book, #fashionopolis.
A limited number of tickets are still available and be purchased here. And read our interview with Cheetie Kumar here.
