The School of Making is launching, for the first time ever, DIY Sewing Kits for all garments featured in the 2019 edition of Build a Wardrobe. Each garment—the Fractal Dress, the Jumpsuit, the Asymmetrical Trench, and the Pencil Skirt— is offered in a variety of styles for your DIY Kit. The Fractal Dress is available as a tee, dress, and crossover top. The Pencil Skirt is offered as the standard Pencil Skirt, the Wrap Pencil Skirt, and the Asymmetrical Pencil Skirt. The Jumpsuit is available as a standard Jumpsuit, a dress, and a shirt. The Trench Coat is offered in two lengths: the full-length Trench and the shorter Peacoat.
Once you have decided on your garment style, you will then choose from either a single layer, unstenciled kit or a double layer kit that will be stenciled with a predetermined stencil design and paint color.
Like all DIY Kits, the 2019 Build a Wardrobe kit collection comes with pre-cut fabric and all the thread and embroidery floss you will need to complete the garment.
