Our Collection samples are each the first of their kind. They often act as the blueprint for our custom made garments, visually showcasing the garment’s design and construction for our artisans to reference, as they carefully hand sew and embroider each made-to-order garment.
As our Collections introduce new designs, it’s important for us to find ways to use the original samples sustainably. Many Alabama Chanin Collection garments are housed in our archives, but it’s impossible (and impractical) for us to keep all of them. We preserve traditions of design and production by examining and documenting our work through the acts of storytelling and photography, and we keep a digital record of each piece.
With our next Collection evolution, we’re kicking off our Sample Sale tomorrow, May 20th. It will begin with 30% off a curated collection of, well, Collection designs. Look for behind-the-scenes images of this collection’s development over the course of the sale too.
Our garments are meant to last a lifetime—in both quality and design. We value our process and hope you will too.

- All sales are first come, first served.
- Our sale begins at 30% off and increases 10% each day until we reach 70% off on Sunday, May 24th. We’ll make the announcement each day when our discount increases.
