We invite you to celebrate 10 years of Alabama Chanin at our annual Community Picnic + Open House on Saturday, April 9th. Our doors will be open to friends, family, and the community as we have an event-filled day planned at The Factory.
Take part in our annual Mother’s Day Sale at The Factory and save 20% on store-wide purchases. Bluewater Creek Farm will also be here selling non-GMO, soy-free, pasture-raised chicken eggs and tomato transplants.
Instead of serving our regular brunch (which will resume next week), we’re providing barbeque and fixins’ for our potluck-style lunch. Bring a side dish or dessert and show off your family recipes. The day will be filled with good food, mini-workshops, tours, and countless stories.

12:00 – 1:00 Artisan recognition followed by Potluck-style Picnic Lunch. Barbeque and fixins’ provided by Alabama Chanin. Bring your favorite covered dish or dessert.
1:00 – 2:00 One-Hour Lecture: The History of Alabama Chanin – Free
2:00 – 2:30 Guided Studio Tour – Free
2:00 – 3:00 One-Hour Artisan Business Workshop
2:00 – 3:00 One-Hour Sewing Workshop
All workshops are first come, first serve. If we have availability the day of the event, we will continue to sell tickets; however, you are encouraged to sign up in advance.
