Our team is getting ready to make our annual trip to Montgomery, Alabama, to participate in Southern Makers the first weekend of May. In its fourth year, Southern Makers is a celebration of creativity and innovation, bringing together makers, designers, chefs, brewers, and musicians from all across the South. The event was conceived by Southern Accents Architectural Antiques and Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood in 2013 and has gained momentum each year. Last fall, Alabama Chanin hosted a Friends to the Café Dinner celebrating Southern Makers and the Oxford American.
This year the Alabama Chanin team hosts a trunk show on and a two-hour sewing workshop, where you will learn about the basics of sewing and embroidery. Participants will receive materials to make their own DIY Journal Kit. Make plans to join us at Southern Makers.
