March’s Swatch of the Month is Pleated Ruffle, a technique featured in Alabama Studio Sewing + Design. Inspired by the stripes, pleats, and ruffles of Natalie’s youth—which stayed with her through design school and then to passementerie shops of Europe where she continued to find herself enamored with trims and ribbons—Pleated Ruffle is a fabric exploration in the dimensionality of design.
As with every Swatch of the Month, this month’s subscription includes the fabric and notions to make your own swatch along with an exclusive newsletter featuring inspiration, instructions, and more surprises along the way.
