Women’s Equality Day is observed this Thursday, August 26th to commemorate the 1920 adoption of the Nineteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, giving women the right to vote. Achieving this milestone required decades of protesting and fighting for women’s rights by dedicated women and suffragists. Though there is still much more work to be done in our country, we acknowledge rights and privileges available to us.  

In the midst of political unrest, Afghanistan is experiencing one of the fastest-growing humanitarian crises in the world. The United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) estimates that 80% of those fleeing violence are women and children. We lend our voice and heart in support of these refugees, women, and children. Below is a list of resources and ways to protect and support them.
