Friday will introduce new entries for the Alabama Chanin 21 Years Celebration. From 2013 – 2016, major developments and growth take place at Alabama Chanin with the founding of The School of Making, Building 14, and The Factory Store + Café—making it a multi-fold organization. Further work is done within the organization creating a 10-year vision for the company. In 2013, Natalie is awarded the CFDA/Lexus Eco-Fashion Challenge celebrating designers who are industry leaders in sustainable design, and in 2014, she receives the Eileen Fisher Women-Owned Business Grant. Collaborations take place with Patagonia, Little River Sock Mill, Stella Ishii, and Heath Ceramics—and much more to come…
This celebration marks Natalie’s legacy in sustainable design and honors our collaborators, team, friends, community, artisans, and those that have inspired Natalie and Alabama Chanin through their work and partnerships over the decades.
