Phillip and Natalie have shared a friendship for almost two decades, and he has been a source of inspiration for many projects and collaborations in years past. Phillip is known to carry a workbook at all times, filling its pages with with musings, notes, and drawings from his daily practice of uncovering the beauty and significance in small moments—looking where the eye is not naturally drawn, placing oft overlooked objects at the center of his narratives, and capturing the raw magnificence of the human experience.
Proceeds of Phillip March Jones designs benefit Institute 193, non-profit art space and publisher founded by Jones in Lexington, Kentucky. Institute 193 provides artists from Kentucky and the Southeastern United States—selected not by commercial viability, but by the quality and relevance of their work—with exhibition and publication opportunities. It also endeavors to help these artists gain broader media exposure and foster connections in art markets across the globe.
