We find it hard to believe that it’s time to start talking about the holidays. I think we say that every year, but truth be told we have to start thinking about them earlier than most. Many of you know that we practice lean method manufacturing, to reduce waste. That means that we don’t begin production on our handmade items until orders are confirmed. Many of our machine-made items are produced in small batches and are kept in stock, but even those move quickly during the holiday season.
If you are planning on giving Alabama Chanin this holiday season (and we hope you are), we request that you make plans to order soon. Some of our more exquisite hand-sewn garments can take up to 4 to 6 weeks to make, and our artisans get even busier as we near gift-giving season.
