Summer always brings the heat in the South—perfect for indigo dyeing. Indigo vats thrive in warm and hot weather. They’re living beings that need the heat to survive and properly dye fabric with the beautiful shades of indigo we know and love.
So with summer coming to a close and school starting back soon, we know that fall (and hopefully cooler weather) means that our indigo fabric supply is limited. We’ve just received our final batch of indigo for the year—in a light-medium shade—from our friends at Stony Creek Colors (more on them soon). Stock up here, and be sure to order enough to complete your project.
