Ashley’s Pullover Collection launched earlier this summer and features designs available for a limited time. Inspired by chef Ashley’s all-time favorite shirt, the collection uses organic cotton jersey and machine-sewn artistry to create functional and flattering styles. Read back on the Journal to learn all about James Beard award-winning chef Ashley Christensen and our collaboration.
One of the styles—The Ashley Cardigan—is inspired by a traditional chef’s jacket, which became en vogue in the culinary world in 1878. The double-breasted front of a chef’s jacket is intended to protect from heat and kitchen hazards. While our cardigan is more about style and less about protection, the hand-sewn snaps and double-breasted details make this piece feel sturdy yet comfortable. (It has pockets, too.)

P.S.: Ashley also made a visit to cook at The Factory for our Friends of the Café benefit dinner for the Southern Foodways Alliance. Get a behind-the-scenes look here.
