Started in 2015 as a way to facilitate making in your own community, the Host a Party program allows you to gather friends and fellow sewers and be host to a personalized sewing party.
As host, you will get together six or more friends, decide on the location, gather payment, and provide instruction, hospitality, and refreshments of your choosing. Though everyone will work on the same project, each attendee will choose their own size and colorway. All group members will receive 20% the regular price of the DIY Kits and as host, your kit will be free.
As this third year of Host a Party gets underway, The School of Making has updates and additions to the program. We listened to your feedback and have released five new project styles: the Fingerless Gloves, the T-Shirt Top with short sleeves, the Alabama Sweater with long sleeves, the Mid-Length Skirt, and The Factory Dress.
The stencil options have been revamped with the addition of the Aurora and Large Paradise designs, which join the customer-favorite Anna’s Garden, Bloomers, Magdalena, and New Leaves stencils.
Our colorways have also expanded with the addition of the new Magdalena colorways (which were introduced with Natalie’s Craftsy class) and new tonal paint options.
Follow The School of Making on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date with all the happenings and new releases. And join The School of Making’s new Facebook Stitchalong group to share your projects.
