This year at Alabama Chanin has offered us many opportunities to explore design and manufacturing in new ways. Through a commitment to quality materials, local manufacturing, and sustainable collaborations, we offer a unique perspective on what design means. Our design approach requires deep thought and intention. We think about the life of our product beyond our factory’s walls. We think about the emotional connection that is experienced through our products. We imagine our designs being worn, used, and loved out in the world by you. Our 2018 Holiday Shop represents all of the care and thoughtfulness we put forth, with gifts that will bring joy to the recipient on many levels.
Our design team took hand-embroidery to a whole new level in the fall Collection. If you are looking for the ultimate gift of luxury, our Collection showcases the incredible hand-embroideries executed by our local artisans.
Our Leisure Collection saw an update this fall with one of our best-selling styles: the Waffle Sweatshirt. This collection has a wealth of gift ideas and stocking stuffers.
Our machine-sewing operation grew, and Bldg. 14 has been able to create everyday t-shirt styles for men and women.
Two of our ongoing collaborations include necklaces that are hand-etched at Heath Ceramics in Sausalito, California, and organic cotton socks that are knit in our home state by Little River Sock Mill in Fort Payne, Alabama. The socks and necklaces are available exclusively on our website and in-store.
We discovered even more companies that make quality products and are happy to showcase them on our website and in-store. Candymakers like Askinosie and Pappy, candlemakers Malin + Goetz, and beautifully written and crafted music from our friends at independent record label, Single Lock, and their many artists.
